UOE Pipe

UOE is a method used for production of longitudinally welded large diameter pipes.

  

Longitudinal edges of steel plates are first beveled using carbide milling equipment. Beveled plates are then formed into a U shape using a U-press and subsequently into an O shape using an O-press.
The UOE mill features the most advanced technology and process, achieves high production efficiency, stable product quality and is equipped with complete inspection equipments.
UOE mill adopts U & O forming, the formed pipes are welded inside through five internal welding stations with three wires, and welded outside through four external welding stations with three wires.

In accordance with different requirements of the customers, the welded pipe can be expanded either by mechanical or hydrostatic expander to improve dimensional accuracy, and eliminate residual stress.

Pipe manufacturing refers to how the individual pieces of pipe are made in a pipe mill; it does not refer to how the pieces are connected in the field to form a continuous pipeline. Each piece of pipe produced by a pipe mill is called a joint or a length (regardless of its measured length).
